The following price examples provide an initial guide for calculating the cost of your own 3D animation video. A specific project price can only be determined based on the actual scope of the project. For example, a short, technically complex animation may require more production effort than a longer video with simple motion sequences. We therefore prepare an individual quote at an agreed fixed price for every project before production begins.

Number of Scenes and Work Steps

One of the most important factors is the number of scenes or animation steps. The more that needs to be animated, the longer the video will be and the more complex the production will be.

Product Complexity

Simple components consisting of only a few individual parts can be imported and prepared quickly. Large machinery and systems, on the other hand, can consist of several thousand individual parts, all of which need to be prepared and textured individually. This is reflected accordingly in the costs.

Special Effects such as Fire, Smoke or Liquids

If liquids, fire or smoke are animated, this is more complex than animating simple motion sequences. Particles such as smoke need to be properly configured and animated to look realistic. This can take some time.

Quality of the Available CAD Data

As a rule, customers can provide the CAD data for their product. In 90% of cases, this can be imported without any problems. However, sometimes the data is not optimal and needs to be cleaned up or optimized afterwards.

Level of Detail and Realism

All of our 3D animations are created in high quality. For some requirements, however, a higher degree of realism is necessary. This can often be achieved through additional details, but it usually also requires significantly more working time to develop these details.

Voice-Over, Narration and Music

Most 3D animations are designed to be self-explanatory and can work with just a few text overlays. If additional language versions of the animation, a voice-over by a narrator or specific music tailored to the animation are required, additional costs will apply.

Short animation videos are proportionally more expensive than longer videos with a runtime of around 2 to 5 minutes. This is because a certain amount of work is already required for importing and preparing the CAD data as well as for project management. These costs are incurred regardless of the final video length and cannot be distributed across several minutes of animation in a short video.
