For the 3D product visualization of the various items, the customer provided the CAD data in a common exchange format. These could be imported directly into the 3D visualization program and provided with the appropriate materials and rendered.
This workflow is very effective and straightforward. Products do not have to be transported to the photo studio and then stored again afterwards. Especially with the feeding machines, which are as big as a washing machine, manual product photography would be very time-consuming.

At the beginning, a lighting concept was created and coordinated with the customer. This effort was incurred only once at the start of the project and could be used again for each subsequent product rendering. Once the effort has been made, it can often be used again for 3D renderings.
The customer wish was to create a slightly subtle and soft shadow. This shadow should also be rendered on its own layer. Thus, the product images should be able to be used with and without shadows. Thanks to 3D visualization, this is possible directly from the program. The products are on one level and the shadows on another level. This means that no manual cropping of the product images is necessary.

An automatic supply of feed is ensured via automatic feeders. Some of the products are 2 meters high. But thanks to 3D product visualization, it doesn't matter how big or unwieldy the products are. All sizes can be professionally rendered with the same manageable effort.
Materials and textures once defined
Just like the right lighting setup, the common materials were defined at the start of the project. Most of the products are always made of the same orange or blue plastic. Larger machines are made of galvanized sheet steel or stainless steel.
The set, once created from the various materials, could therefore be used again and again and all products look as if they were made of one piece.
